1. Dhikr 1 of 5 · Once

   Answering the call to prayer

   لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ

   La hawla wala quwwata illa billah.

   There is no might nor power except with Allah.

   NoteRepeat what the caller says, except after "come to prayer" and "come to success", where you say: there is no might nor power except with Allah.

   Listen

   وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبَّاً، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولاً، وَبِالْإِسْلاَمِ دِيناً

   Immediately following the declaration of faith called by the mu-aththin, one says:Wa-ana ashhadu an la ilaha illal-lahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, wa-anna Muhammadan 'abduhu warasooluh, radeetu billahi rabban wabimuhammadin rasoolan wabil-islami deena.

   And I too bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Muhammad as a Messenger, and with Islam as my religion.

   VirtueWhoever says it, his sins are forgiven.

   اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ

   Allahumma salli wasallim 'ala nabiyyina Muhammad.

   O Allah, send Your prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.

   NoteSend prayers upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after answering the caller; whoever sends one prayer upon him, Allah sends ten upon them.

   Listen

   اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، وَالصَّلاَةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّداً الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوداً الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ، إِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ

   Allahumma rabba hathihid-da'watit-tammah, wassalatil-qa-imah ati Muhammadan alwaseelata wal-fadeelah, wab'ath-hu maqaman mahmoodan allathee wa'adtah, innaka la tukhliful-mee'ad.

   O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and of the prayer about to be established, grant Muhammad the intermediary station (al-wasilah) and the pre-eminence, and raise him to the praised station that You have promised him; indeed You never fail Your promise.

   VirtueWhoever says it upon hearing the call will receive the intercession of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Day of Resurrection.

   Dhikr 5 of 5

   Listen

   يَدْعُو لِنَفْسِهِ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ، فَإِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ حِينَئِذٍ لاَ يُرَدُّ

   Supplicate for yourself between the adhan and the iqamah, for supplication at that time is not rejected.
