Read Azkar exists to make the authentic daily remembrances easy to read on a phone. This page explains where every text comes from and how it is checked.
Hisn al-Muslim
The Arabic text, the order of the adhkar and the number of repetitions follow Hisn al-Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) by Shaykh Sa'id ibn Ali ibn Wahf al-Qahtani, the compilation reviewed by Shaykh Abdul-Aziz ibn Baz and used by Muslims worldwide. Each item shows its number in the book so you can check it against any printed edition.
Hadith references
Under every dhikr we name the hadith collections that narrate it and the grading given in the book's footnotes, such as sahih by Al-Albani or hasan by Ibn Baz. We only include supplications that the book's author judged acceptable; we do not add unverified texts.
Quran
Quranic passages use the Uthmani text of the Madinah Mushaf. Their meanings are shown in Saheeh International (English), Bubenheim and Elyas (German) and the Diyanet translation (Turkish).
Translations
English meanings follow the official English edition of Hisn al-Muslim, lightly edited for readability. German meanings are copied from the German edition published by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs (2009), and Turkish meanings from the Turkish edition translated by İsmail Yaşa and reviewed by Muhammed Şahin (islamhouse.com). Nothing is translated by us; where an edition does not contain an item, the English is shown and marked.
Audio
The recitations are the official recordings distributed by hisnmuslim.com, re-encoded and served from this site so that no third-party service is contacted.
Corrections
If you notice a mistake in a text, count or reference, please write to us. Every report is checked against the printed book and corrected.
