    If you forgot at the start

    بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ وَآخِرِهِ

    Bismil-lahi fee awwalihi wa-akhirih.

    In the name of Allah, at its beginning and at its end.

    When given food

    اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَأَطْعِمْنَا خَيْراً مِنْهُ

    Allahumma barik lana feehi wa-at'imna khayran minh.

    O Allah, bless it for us and feed us with what is better than it.

    When given milk

    اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَزِدْنَا مِنْهُ

    Allahumma barik lana feehi wazidna minh.

    O Allah, bless it for us and give us more of it.

    After eating

    الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا، وَرَزَقَنِيهِ، مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلاَ قُوَّةٍ

    Alhamdu lillahil-lathee at'amanee hatha warazaqaneehi min ghayri hawlin minnee wala quwwah.

    All praise is for Allah, who fed me this and provided it for me without any might or power on my part.

    VirtueWhoever says it, his past sins are forgiven.

    After eating

    الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً كَثِيراً طَيِّباً مُبَارَكاً فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلاَ مُوَدَّعٍ، وَلاَ مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبَّنَا

    Alhamdu lillahi hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubarakan feeh, ghayra makfiyyin wala muwadda'in, wala mustaghnan 'anhu rabbuna.

    All praise is for Allah, abundant, good and blessed praise; a praise that is never enough, never bid farewell, and never dispensed with, our Lord.

    The guest's supplication for the host

    اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُم، وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ

    Allahumma barik lahum feema razaqtahum, waghfir lahum warhamhum.

    O Allah, bless them in what You have provided them, forgive them and have mercy on them.

  8. Dhikr 8 of 13 · Once

    For the one who gives you food or drink

    اللَّهُمَّ أَطْعِمْ مَنْ أَطْعَمَنِي، وَاسْقِ مَنْ سَقَانِي

    Allahumma at'im man at'amanee wasqi man saqanee.

    O Allah, feed the one who fed me, and give drink to the one who gave me drink.

  9. Dhikr 9 of 13 · Once

    When breaking the fast

    ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ العُرُوقُ، وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

    Thahabath-thama-o wabtallatil-'urooq, wathabatal-ajru in shaal-lah.

    The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.

    When breaking the fast

    اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي

    Allahumma inne as-aluka birahmatikal-latee wasi'at kulla shay, an taghfira lee.

    O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy, which encompasses all things, to forgive me.

  11. Dhikr 11 of 13 · Once

    When breaking the fast at someone's home

    أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَكُمُ الصَّائِمُونَ، وَأَكَلَ طَعَامَكُمُ الْأَبْرَارُ، وَصَلَّتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ

    Aftara 'indakumus-sa-imoon, wa-akala ta'amakumul-abrar, wasallat 'alaykumul-mala-ikah.

    May the fasting break their fast with you, may the righteous eat your food, and may the angels pray for you.

  12. Dhikr 12 of 13 · Once

    When invited to eat while fasting

    إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ، فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِماً فَلْيُصَلِّ (أَيْ فَلْيَدْعُ)، وَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِراً فَلْيَطْعَمْ

    When one of you is invited, let him accept; if he is fasting, let him pray for them, and if he is not fasting, let him eat.

  13. Dhikr 13 of 13 · Once

    On seeing the first fruits

    اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي ثَمَرِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي مَدِينَتِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي صَاعِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي مُدِّنَا

    Allahumma barik lana fee thamarina, wabarik lana fee madeenatina, wabarik lana fee sa'ina wabarik lana fee muddina.

    O Allah, bless us in our fruit, bless us in our city, bless us in our sa' and bless us in our mudd.

    NoteThe sa' and the mudd are units of measure.
